KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Syrian who impersonated police to rob people in the area. While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed a man running away from a group of people and it turned out that he stole from them after claiming to be a police officer. The officers chased the suspect and referred him to the concerned security department.

Meanwhile, three Sri Lankans were arrested in the same area for selling drugs and imported liquor. During a security patrol in the area, the officers caught the suspects red handed with seven bottles of imported liquor and an undisclosed quantity of drugs in their possession. When the officers interrogated them, the suspects admitted to selling drugs and imported alcoholic drinks.

Meanwhile, police officers from Hawally Security Command arrested an Asian in Salmiya for the possession of 145 bottles of locally brewed alcohol. While patrolling the area, the officers suspected the driver of one of the cars due to the erratic movement.

They demanded for the identification documents of the driver, an Asian, who appeared to be afraid and disoriented, prompting a thorough inspection of the vehicle. This resulted in the discovery of the alcoholic drinks. On the other hand, an Egyptian was arrested in Maidan Hawally for the possession of hashish and three narcotic pills. He was referred to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).
