KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: The Court of Cassation sentenced a Syrian to three years in prison for forging a Kuwaiti civil identification card, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Case files indicate the Kuwaiti citizenship of the accused was withdrawn in 2006, but after being investigated on his involvement in another case, he presented a forged civil identification card showing he is a Kuwaiti to the Public Prosecution.

When the officer in charge started processing his release, it was discovered that the information in the card was different from the computer data. He then admitted to forging the card, because his citizenship was withdrawn 16 years ago. By Jaber Al-Hamoud Al-Seyassah Staff
