Accountability will be enforced for all involved, with the law applied equally to everyone.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Following directives from His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, to intensify efforts to uncover and combat illegal activities, the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations, through its Search and Investigation Department, has successfully dismantled a gang involved in residency trafficking, forgery, and manipulation.

The gang, consisting of six individuals of Syrian, Egyptian, and Asian nationalities, was arrested for transferring the residencies of workers within the country to a specific company, registering their vehicles, and then using these registrations to obtain a larger number of vehicle operating licenses. These licenses were then submitted to the relevant authorities to inflate the company's need estimates and to issue driving licenses for unqualified individuals in exchange for money.

Intensive investigations by the residence investigations team revealed that some of the vehicles registered by the gang did not exist. Furthermore, it was discovered that some employees within the relevant authorities colluded with the gang to facilitate illegal inspections and renewals of these vehicles in exchange for bribes.

The Ministry of Interior reiterates its unwavering commitment to enforcing the law without exception and warns that security forces are vigilant against anyone attempting to violate the laws. All necessary legal actions have been taken against the accused, who have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
