Syrian arrested for smuggling 144 cartons of cigarettes into Saudi Arabia

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: Personnel from the customs search and investigation department at the Nuwaiseeb port have arrested a Syrian for trying to smuggle 144 cartons of cigarettes into Saudi Arabia, reports Al-Rai daily. A customs source told the daily the man was driving a truck owned by a Kuwaiti company and tried to smuggle 144 cartons of cigarettes of various brands hidden within inside household utensils destined for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
