Super Junior member Kyuhyun.

SEOUL, South Korea, Nov 20, (Agencies): Kyuhyun, a member of the K-pop boy band Super Junior, sustained a minor injury while preventing a woman armed with a knife from causing harm in a dressing room used for the musical "Ben-Hur."

The incident occurred around 6 pm on Nov 19 at the LG Signature Hall of the LG Arts Center in Gangseo, Seoul, marking the last day of the musical's run. Although Kyuhyun wasn't scheduled to perform, he visited the cast on the final day, where the unsettling encounter took place.

Reports from Korean media revealed that a woman in her 30s entered the dressing room, brandishing a concealed knife and threatening another actor. Kyuhyun intervened, restraining the woman and sustaining a minor injury to his finger in the process. The police, responding more than 30 minutes later, arrested the woman and initiated an investigation.

Antenna, Kyuhyun's new agency, released a statement explaining the incident, stating, "While he was in the dressing room, Kyuhyun encountered an outsider who caused distress to other actors. In the course of restraining the intruder, he had a minor abrasion on his finger. He was immediately treated on the spot and is currently in good health, fully capable of continuing his regular activities."

Expressing gratitude to concerned fans, Antenna assured continued support for the artist. The police reported that the suspect has a history of mental illness, and an investigation is underway to determine how she obtained the knife.
