Sultan of Oman, Iran FM Hold Talks on Regional Tensions and Peace Efforts

MUSCAT, April 26: The Sultan of Oman, HH. Haitham bin Tariq held talks with Abbas Araghchi at Al Barakah Palace on Sunday, focusing on regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts.

During the audience, both sides discussed the evolving situation in the region, with particular emphasis on mediation initiatives and diplomatic channels aimed at ending ongoing crises. The Omani leader was briefed on Iran’s perspective while sharing his views on advancing dialogue to reach sustainable political solutions and reduce the impact of regional instability on affected populations.

The Sultan underscored the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in addressing outstanding issues, stressing that such an approach is key to achieving lasting peace and stability.

For his part, the Iranian foreign minister expressed appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman and its leadership’s consistent support for dialogue-driven solutions, highlighting Muscat’s role in promoting regional security and stability amid current challenges.
