Kuwait City, 7 Oct: The Sultan Center Food Products Company, the owner and operator of the supermarket chain “Sultan”, marks a significant milestone this month with the celebration of its 42nd anniversary. Established by the visionary late businessman, Jamil Sultan Bin Essa, Sultan transcends the identity of a mere supermarket chain; it stands as a cornerstone of Kuwait’s modern retail landscape.

Four decades have passed since the Sultan greeted its first shopper at its Shuwaikh branch. Today, Sultan is a shopping destination for a broad spectrum of the society, thanks to its commitment to continuous improvement, its extensive range of quality products, and its seamless shopping experience.

To commemorate the anniversary, Sultan announced today special rewards and exclusive offers as a tribute to the enduring loyalty and trust of its customers. Throughout October, all Kanzee members stand a chance to clinch rewarding prizes. The grand prize is $42,000, accompanied by 42 coveted iPhone 15s, and 42 Sultan gift cards, each loaded with KD 100 in purchasing credit. Every Kanzee member making a purchase of KD 15 or more between the 1st and 31st of October will be automatically entered into the enticing draw.

Sultan Center Food Products CEO Ms. Khadija Oubala said, “As we celebrate our 42 years anniversary in the Kuwaiti market, we take immense pride in our pioneering role in Kuwait’s retail sector and the broader region. Our journey wouldn’t have been possible without the support and trust of our loyal customers. Today’s celebration is a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to our dedicated customers who have made Sultan their preferred choice for generations. We deeply appreciate our customers’ trust, and we remain committed to delivering the finest local and international goods that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. Our ongoing commitment includes growth, development, diversity, and ensuring access to fresh food and high-quality household products, always.”

Sultan embarked on its journey in 1981 with the opening of its first branch in the Shuwaikh area. Today, Sultan is the largest independent retailer on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. It owns and operates a network of over 70 stores in the Middle East. This includes 12 branches in Jordan, three branches in Bahrain, and eight branches in Oman. In Kuwait alone, the company operates 47 branches, spanning from Jahra to Nwaiseeb, through three distinct store formats. These include 7 flagship stores, which cater to daily needs in every neighborhood; 11 Sultan Market stores; and 29 Sultan Express stores, which offer quick and convenient shopping options.
