KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: Kazma Club has completed its foreign-player roster after signing Sudanese professional Amer Abdullah on a six-month deal.
Amer becomes Kazma’s fifth foreign player, joining Algerians Idriss Chaabi and Moaz Haddad, Yemeni Nasser Mohamdoh, and Cameroonian Didier Lamkel.
The club made significant changes to its foreign contingent during the winter transfer window, which closed last Saturday, parting ways with four players: Jordanians Anas Al-Awadat, Ali Azayza, and Youssef Abu Jazar, along with Beninese striker Samson Akinyoola.
Kazma explained that Al-Awadat returned to Al-Wehdat of Jordan due to personal circumstances that required his presence in his home country, while Azayza was loaned to Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia. Both players, whose contracts run until June 2028, are set to return to Kazma at the end of the current season.
Meanwhile, the club terminated Abu Jazar’s contract after head coach Dragan Tadić was unconvinced by his level, while Akinyoola’s contract was canceled after he suffered an injury expected to keep him sidelined for nearly two months.
Amer, born in 1999 to an Australian father, previously played for Australian clubs Avondale and Green Gully. He also impressed at the Arab Cup finals held in Qatar last December, scoring against Senegal in the group stage and earning praise from fans.
