Submit report on mobile number portability

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) issued a decision obligating mobile telecommunications companies to submit monthly reports on mobile number portability services. This decision pertains to the regulatory framework for mobile number portability between mobile telecommunications companies. The decision, issued by CITRA Chairman Khaled Al- Zamil, stipulates in its first article that the provisions of the regulatory framework for mobile number portability between mobile telecommunications companies licensed by the Authority to provide mobile telecommunications services, as well as their agents and representatives in Kuwait, shall be applicable.

It obligates all licensees to provide the Authority with monthly reports on mobile number portability services between mobile telecommunications companies, using the form approved by the Authority, via email within the first eight working days of each month. Al-Zamil said the monthly report should contain all number transfers that took place during the month, including rejected transfers, successful transfers, canceled transfers, and numbers returned to the domain holders.
