SHARJAH, Feb 10: Salwa Al-Sabah Club secured four medals at the 8th Arab Women’s Club Games, currently underway in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The club’s athletics team captured the silver medal in the 4x100m relay, as Munira Al-Ameer, Deema Ibrahim, Aisha Al-Khudr, and Al-Jazi Al-Farhan combined for a strong performance to finish second.
The Games, which run until February 12, feature wide participation from Arab clubs across a variety of sports.
Adding to the medal haul, Salwa Al-Sabah athlete Haya Al-Rifai claimed silver in the 5,000m, producing a competitive display against runners from several Arab clubs.
Meanwhile, track and field standout Al-Jazi Al-Farhan further boosted the club’s tally by winning silver in the 100m hurdles, along with a bronze medal in the heptathlon.
The results underscore the continued development of Kuwaiti women’s athletics and its growing impact on the Arab sporting stage.
