KUWAIT CITY, May 30: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, represented by the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, has urged employers and companies to strictly comply with the Public Authority for Manpower’s decision banning outdoor work during midday hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, effective from June 1 to August 31, 2026. The ministry said the measure is aimed at protecting workers from extreme summer heat and ensuring a safer working environment in open areas.
The decision also includes a ban on operating motorcycles used by delivery companies across all roads and regions during the restricted hours. Authorities warned that violations will lead to penalties and legal action for breaching permit conditions. The ministry stressed there will be zero tolerance for non-compliance, noting that the regulation aligns with labor laws and broader efforts to promote a humane and sustainable work environment that safeguards worker health and safety during peak summer temperatures.
