KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19, (Agencies): In a bid to streamline the implementation of the fingerprint project across school administrations, the Ministry of Education has called upon educational districts to permit the installation activities to take place outside regular working hours and on holidays. This move aims to accelerate the completion of the project, which involves the deployment of 2,800 fingerprint devices in approximately 900 schools.
Dr. Salman Al-Lafi, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, outlined this directive in a letter addressed to the Undersecretary of Public Education. The letter, obtained by Al-Anbaa, emphasizes the importance of allowing the contracted company responsible for supplying, installing, operating, and maintaining the fingerprint attendance proof devices and associated programs to work beyond official working hours. Dr. Al-Lafi urged cooperation to ensure a swift and efficient execution of the project.
Educational sources revealed that the contracted company is actively engaged in installing 2,800 fingerprint devices and their corresponding accessories across 900 schools situated in various regions of the country. Notably, each school will be equipped with no fewer than three devices. The fingerprinting process is anticipated to cover over 90,000 school employees, contingent upon the successful and timely completion of the installation, with the official approval from the ministry.
