Stray bullet ends the life of influencer Yarely Hermosillo at 27
Social media influencer Yarely Hermosillo, 27, was killed by a stray bullet in Arizona.

GLENDALE, Ariz., Aug 20: Social media influencer Yarely Ashley Hermosillo died at age 27 after being struck by a stray bullet during a shooting in Glendale, Arizona, police said.

Hermosillo, known for sharing cooking and lifestyle content to more than 300,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, was killed on Friday, Aug. 15, when a gunman fired into her vehicle.

Police said suspect Jesus Preciado Dousten, 33, fired a handgun during a roadside argument with another driver at a red light. The bullet entered Hermosillo’s car, striking her in the head. She was rushed to the hospital by her boyfriend, who was driving, but later died.

Hermosillo’s mother and young son were also in the vehicle but were unharmed.

“Homicide detectives used video from multiple cameras to identify the suspect’s truck,” Glendale Police Sergeant Brian Hoskins told local outlet AZFamily. Police later recovered two handguns from a residence and arrested Dousten at his apartment.

Dousten faces charges including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, weapons misconduct, and endangerment. He is being held on a $1 million bond.

In a GoFundMe launched by her family, Hermosillo was remembered as “a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul whose light touched everyone who knew her.”

“She leaves behind her husband and their 4-year-old son, who now face an unimaginable loss,” the family said. “Yarely’s greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she poured her heart into caring for her little boy.”

The tribute added: “We are forever grateful for every prayer, share, and donation made in Yarely’s honor. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory live on through the love she gave so freely.
