KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: Kuwait City’s strategic location and diverse economic sectors could make it a prime destination for foreign investors and business groups, the governor of the capital governorate, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, said Thursday.

Sheikh Abdullah made the remarks at the launch of the national initiative “Capital of Opportunities” at AlShaheed Park 2, designed to showcase investment and business opportunities in Kuwait City. The initiative includes a series of panel discussions, dialogue sessions, and interactive workshops involving decision-makers and specialists to exchange experiences and explore strategies for enhancing investment and development in the capital.

The governor highlighted that Kuwait has remained firmly on a path of development and growth under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who has promoted initiatives to strengthen the investment environment and empower national talent through support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

“Concerted efforts and cooperation among all partners from state institutions and the private sector, working as one team, are key to transforming challenges into achievements and ambitions into tangible realities,” Sheikh Abdullah said, emphasizing that such collaboration helps build a strong and sustainable economy and positions Kuwait City as a model of innovation, investment, and sustainable development.

He also expressed gratitude to the partners of the Capital of Opportunities initiative for supporting its objectives and prayed for continued security and stability under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
