Front-liners to get free supplies

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is committed to disbursing free ration supplies to the deserving COVID-19 front-line workers included in the lists received from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Rai daily quoting informed sources. They said, “The front-line supply quantities do not affect the quantities of the strategic stock, as they were calculated within the supply exchange that is separate from the stock.

The disbursement of the scheduled quantities will not be from the stock”. The sources called on the employees of the two ministries to make sure their names are included in the lists of eligible persons before they head to the supply centers to receive their quotas.

On a related level, the sources revealed that not all family members of the deserving expatriate front-liners will receive the rations, as they are intended for the front-liners and those registered under their residency. They explained that there are two types of front-liners.

The first type already has a ration card, and this includes eligible citizens, Gulf citizens, and Bedoun residents. This segment will receive the full supply for all individuals registered in their cards. The second type includes eligible residents, and their rations will be limited to individuals registered under the residency of the beneficiaries.
