KUWAIT CITY, Jul 2: A case of vehicle theft in the Kabd area has been escalated to a felony after a stolen pickup truck was later discovered burned near the site of the theft.
According to a security source, a citizen filed a report stating that unknown individuals stole his Nissan pickup truck from in front of his rest house in Block 7, Kabd, near a rest area.
The vehicle was later found completely burned opposite a mosque in the same area, raising the severity of the incident.
The source added that the Public Prosecution was notified and ordered the case to be classified as a felony. Security authorities have since launched investigations to identify and arrest those responsible for the theft and alleged deliberate destruction of the vehicle.
