KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Stars and Warriors clubs continue to dominate the Kuwait National Men’s Ice Hockey League for the season, maintaining a thrilling race for the top spot.

The Stars recorded their fifth consecutive victory, raising their total to 15 points and holding firm at the top of the standings. The defending champions Warriors, kept close behind, claiming their fourth win in five games to reach 12 points and stay in second place.

In their latest matchup, the Stars cruised past the Mooseheads with a commanding 14–3 win, while the Warriors kept up the pressure by defeating the Ice Stars 11–3. The Ice Stars remain third in the table with 9 points.

Fahid Al-Ajmi, President of the Kuwait Winter Games Club, which organizes the league, emphasized the importance of this season as a key preparation phase for the Kuwaiti national team ahead of the Division IV Ice Hockey World Championship, to be hosted by Kuwait in April next year.

Al-Ajmi praised the high level of play this season, noting the participation of 11 professional players across the five competing teams, which has significantly boosted the league’s competitiveness and excitement. He also commended all players for their strong performances and commitment throughout the tournament.
