KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Stars strengthened their position at the top of the Kuwait Ice Hockey League. standings after earning their fourth straight win, defeating Mooseheads 15–5 to close out the first round of the competition, which features five teams. The victory lifted the Stars’ total to 12 points.
Stars dominated the game — held the night before last at the Kuwait Winter Games Club Arena, the league’s organizing venue — displaying clear superiority in attack. Last season’s runners-up produced a commanding performance in their quest to reclaim the league title they lost two years ago. Despite a determined effort from Mooseheads to stage a comeback, the Stars’ experience and composure sealed the result.
Defending champions Warriors currently occupy second place, followed by Ice Stars in third, an impressive showing in their debut season.
League matches will continue with two games per week until the tournament concludes in March next year, when the team with the highest points total will be crowned champion.
