Thanima to offer audiences different experience

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: Drama Director Babuji Bathery announced in a press meet that William Shakespeare’s world famous play “Macbeth” is ready to stage on Eid holidays on April 22, 23, 24 under the banner of Thanima Kuwait. Thanima’s General Convener Babuji Bathery is writing the script, lyrics and performing direction and artist Sujathan is setting the stage for the play. Mustafa Ambadi will do the music, Udayan Anchal is handling background music, Manoj Mavelikara will compose the musics and Jayesh Kumar Varkala will handle the lights at the arena. Set design properties will be handled by Baptiste Ambrose. Background music will be composed by Jeeson Joseph.

Jinu K Abraham and Vijesh Velayudhan are the co-directors. Nataktanima convener Jacob Varghese is coordinating the organization including rehearsals. Around 40 artists and 40 technicians, with two months of hardwork for rehearsals and practices, Thanima is preparing a different experience this time with secrets that will delight the Indian expatriates and amaze the audience. With admission starting at 6:30 PM and each show starting at 7:00 PM, Macbeth will be performed in front of 3,600 theatergoers over three days with 1,200 people per day.

Overcoming the limitations of the diaspora , the cast members are finally putting the finishing touches to two months of rigorous training. Passes for the April 22-23 shows are being distributed in various parts of Kuwait through Thanima volunteers.
