St Mary’s Church in Dubai to Reopen April 11 with Limited Services

DUBAI, April 10: St Mary’s Church Dubai will reopen on April 11 for limited religious services, according to the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (AVOSA), which oversees Catholic churches across the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Yemen.

In a statement, AVOSA confirmed that official permission has been granted to resume indoor liturgical services, while outdoor gatherings and other activities within church premises will remain prohibited.

The church authority said worshippers will be allowed to attend obligatory Masses on Saturdays and Sundays, but emphasized that attendance will be strictly regulated through mandatory online registration via the church’s official website.

Church officials added that the reopening will be limited in scope, with services restricted to indoor facilities as part of the phased resumption of religious activities.
