Sri Lankan mugged – Cash, cell stolen

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: A Sri Lankan was mugged by an unidentified person in Hawally. Security sources revealed the Sri Lankan told officers at Hawally Police Station that unidentified person assaulted him and fled from the scene with KD70 which was in his wallet in addition to identification documents and his mobile phone.

The victim filed the report at the station and provided the officers with the description of the suspect. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, police officers from Farwaniya Security Command arrested two citizens who appeared to be intoxicated and in possession of narcotic substances.

They were referred to the concerned authorities together with the confiscated narcotics for legal action. Security sources disclosed police were patrolling around the governorate during which they suspected a vehicle driven in an unsteady manner, prompting them to signal for the driver to pull over as a precautionary measure.

The police noticed that both the driver and the passenger were intoxicated, so they searched the car where narcotics were found
