KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: A 27-year old Sri Lankan housemaid committed suicide by hanging herself inside her room at her sponsor’s house in Doha area, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the sponsor of the housemaid was shocked to see her hanging from the ceiling of her room with a noose around her neck. Even though he tried to save her life, it was too late. After he informed the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior about the suicide, Capital securitymen and officers from Criminal Investigation Department rushed to the location and referred the corpse to Forensics Department. A case was filed at Sulaibikhat Police Station.

Pakistani forges IDs: A Pakistani expatriate as well as 15 expatriate employees of a vital company were arrested in possession of fake civil IDs, reports Al-Anba daily quoting security sources. They explained that officials from the Facilities Security Investigation Department led by the department head Captain Ahmad Al-Khalidi arrested the first suspect who is a Pakistani national. The latter confessed that he had forged 15 civil IDs and sold them to his clients. Using the information provided by the first suspect, 15 expatriates were arrested in possession of the fake civil IDs. They were all referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. Case no. 81/2015 was registered.

Indian held for liquor: An Indian expatriate was arrested in possession of 25 liquor bottles, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Riggae area when they stopped a vehicle and checked the details of the driver to discover he is an Indian expatriate who was reported as absconding. When they checked his vehicle, they found a bag in the trunk of his vehicle, which contained 25 bottles of locally-manufactured liquor.

45 bottles of foreign liquor, drug pills seized: Securitymen apprehended a man in Kabad area in possession of 45 bottles of foreign aliquor 250 narcotic pills, and an unspecified sum. The arrest was made upon instructions from acting Jahra Traffic Director Lieutenant Colonel Aref Behbehani to intensify the checkpoints in Jahra area. Security sources said the suspect abandoned his vehicle at a checkpoint and tried to run away on his foot but the officers pursued and arrested him. He was referred with the contraband to concerned authorities.
