KUWAIT CITY, May 4: The Squash Federation’s Competitions Committee, headed by Secretary-General Hamad Al-Omran, has approved the resumption of domestic activity with the remaining matches of the general league across all age groups, beginning next Sunday.
The decision was taken during a meeting held at the federation headquarters in South Surra, attended by federation president Walid Al-Sumaii, committee member Abdulhadi Al-Arian, and representatives of 11 clubs out of 14 in the General Assembly. Discussions focused on completing the current season’s competitions.
Al-Omran confirmed that action will resume with youth categories and the women’s league first, followed by the men’s general league, which is scheduled to continue until the end of June.
He added that cup competitions have been postponed until September, ahead of the new season, while individual championships have been cancelled due to time constraints.
The revised league schedule will be finalized on Tuesday and submitted to the Olympic Committee in line with its recent directive to sports federations.
Al-Omran concluded by wishing all clubs success in the remaining fixtures and the rest of the season.
