KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: The General Authority for Sports has issued a formal notification to all sports organizations holding contracts of Facility Usage, stressing the need for strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

In its circular, the Authority underscored that compliance with these requirements is mandatory. It noted that contracts may be terminated if an operator fails to pay the agreed-upon facility-usage fees within the specified period, provided that the organization has been formally notified and a 20-day grace period has passed without settlement.

The circular added that, in accordance with contractual terms, specific procedures must be followed in cases of delayed payments. These include the imposition of late-payment penalties on the operator and the obligation to immediately notify the General Authority for Sports of any payment delays, along with the measures taken to address them.
