The closing ceremony of the Sports Festival for Girls in basketball and tennis was held at the Girls Club under the sponsorship of Public Authority for Sports and in the presence of Director of the authority Dr Hamoud Fleiteh and Director of Clubs Management at the authority Saoud Hakim.Also present at the closing ceremony were Director of Abdullah Al-Salem Center for Leadership Development Mahmoud Abul, and Director of the Joint Sports Training Centers Project and General Supervisor of Training Centers for Girls Dr Yusri Faisal Al-Ateer among others.Dr Fleiteh expressed happiness over the participation of various clubs and schools from all governorates in the festival, stressing that he would like to see more participation in other games.He affirmed that this was an opportunity for girls to utilize their abilities and prepare very well.Dr Fleiteh called on Ministry of Finance to increase the budget for allowing all schools and centers to achieve a sporting renaissance for female students.On behalf of Public Authority for Sports, he thanked Ministry of Education for its sincere cooperation in ensuring the success of the Joint Sports Training Centers Project for Girls.Meanwhile, Dr Yusri Al-Ateer affirmed the keenness of Ministry of Education to support the field of sports by identifying distinguished talents and nurturing them.She said, “The idea of the Joint Sports Training Centers Project for Girls is definitely going to contribute a lot towards uplifting girls and serving the society”.Dr Al-Ateer thanked the Girls Club for hosting the festival.
