Sports activities in Kuwait shut for month

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: The Public Authority for Sports has called on clubs and sports clubs to stop their sporting activities for one month, which can be renewed for a further period, taking into account the exceptional conditions that the country is going through due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rapid spread of new variants of the virus. This came during a meeting at the authority’s headquarters which was held to discuss the recent Cabinet decision on combating the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, and was attended by Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, Deputy Director of the Authority for the Construction and Maintenance Sector, and Dr Saqr Al-Mulla, Deputy Director for Competitive Sports Affairs.
