On the third day of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah 8th International Shooting Grand Prix, awarding of gold medals for three categories of weapons for both individuals and teams will be witnessed. According to a press release, the competitors will be battle it out in 10-meter rifle category for both men and women and in 50-meter pistol category for men. The qualification rounds will take place in the morning, which will be followed by finals in the afternoon.
Head of the cartridges umpires committee Hamad Al-Ruweisan explained that Russia is represented by 161 shooters in the cartridge category. Among them, 84 shooters will participate in the trap category, and remaining 77 in skeet category. This is after the cancellation of double-trap category.
Al-Ruweisan indicated that elite Olympics shooters are keen to participate in Kuwait’s international shooting grand prix due to the popularity it has gained throughout the years since its inception.
He praised the sponsors of the tournament and its organizers for enabling this championship to gain global reputation, which has positive returns for the field of the sports and the future of those practicing it.
