Sponsor allowed, maid stopped by security

KUWAIT CITY, June 3: The Public Relations and Security Information Department of the Ministry of Interior has denied what has been published by some websites and social media that one of the members of the Kuwaiti aircraft Protection Force refused a Kuwaiti woman to board the plane because the residence permit of her domestic help had expired by virtue of staying out of the country for more than six months, reports Al-Anba daily.

The department pointed out it is the responsibility of the carrier to allow a passenger to board the plane after checking the validity of the passports and the residence permit to countries of destination.

The department indicated the Kuwaiti woman departed on the flight while her housemaid accompanying her was not allowed. The department confirmed that the aircraft protection personnel are only responsible for the security and safety of the crew and passengers on board
