KUWAIT CITY, May 2:  The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, alongside the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and Ministry of Interior, launched a joint inspection campaign targeting restaurants and cafes across the Capital Governorate, uncovering multiple violations.

Commerce officials issued six seizure reports for missing price lists, unlicensed promotions, Arabic language violations, improper meat menu handling, and unauthorized extra fees, while warning one establishment over energy drink sales regulations.

Food safety inspectors recorded nine violations, including spoiled and expired materials that prompted an immediate facility closure.

The authorities pledged continued joint operations and strict legal action against non-compliant businesses.
