KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The search efforts for the special education student, whose absence for nine hours raised concerns and triggered a security and educational alert, concluded with the finding of the student in good health at Al-Qadisiyah Sports Club.

The student's uncle informed Al-Rai that his 16-year-old nephew, who has special needs and attends the eleventh grade at Al Raja Private High School in the Hawalli area, went missing during the second period (approximately at nine o'clock in the morning).

No one was aware of his whereabouts until the end of the school day. The bus driver, responsible for taking him home to the Sabahiya area, was surprised by his disappearance and promptly notified the school administration.

The uncle went on to say, "The Minister of Education, senior ministry officials, and the security personnel reassured us. Their involvement contributed to a heightened state of alertness, expediting the discovery of the student (around six o'clock in the evening).

“We are grateful that he is in good health and extend our gratitude to everyone who played a role in searching for him and expressing concern."

In response, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior issued a statement, highlighting the collaboration between the ministries of Interior and Education that led to locating the missing student.

Security personnel visited the reported location and, with the assistance of surveillance cameras, determined that the student had left the school premises and headed towards a nearby area. Following his trajectory, his family was contacted and his whereabouts were identified. They promptly reached him, finding him in good health, and reunited him with his family, reports Al-Rai daily.
