Some roads still closed amid rainwater clean-up efforts

KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) — Several roads in Kuwait remain closed off as efforts continue to
clear the aftereffects of several days of heavy rainfall, the Ministry of Interior said on Friday.
A diversion has been placed at the entrance of a tunnel at the junction between the Sixth Ring
Road motorway and the area of Kabd, in both directions, all the way up to the Seventh Ring
Road and Kabd crossroads, read a statement.

Also, the junctions of South Sabahiya heading out from Fahaheel Industrial Area and the
Fahaheel Sports Club heading to Nuwaiseeb along with the bridges of Shuaiba Port en route to
Nuwaiseeb, and Shuaiba to Nuwaiseeb – both of which have been partially damaged.

Others include the Sulaibiya tunnel, the Sixth Ring Road entrance from Amghara, the Sixth Ring
Road junction before Amghara bridge heading to Jahra, the Sixth Ring Road entrance from the
scrapyard area heading to Jahra, a part of the Fifth Ring Road opposite Qairawan and a part of
the road close to the Sulaibiya farms area.
