Unjustified delays in delivery of products despite paying online

KUWAIT CITY, May 6: When it comes to taking advantage of the situation there are some opportunistic companies which will rob consumers even during the most crucial times such as during the spread of the coronavirus crisis that requires human interaction and not greed and material exploitation, reports Al-Seyassah / Arab Times daily.

As soon as most commercial companies closed their doors to customers, they opened the doors to deliver orders not only for food but even for electrical appliances and household items, but at the heart of all this is their greed and the evidence is they are refusing to return the money to the consumers if they are not satisfied with the service or the goods supplied to them.

This is in addition to ignoring calls from customers and not responding to them and not listening to their complaints.

In such situations consumers remain hostage and become an easy prey of such companies and helpless in light of the precautionary measures taken by the government to control the spread of the virus.

Most of the electronic and electrical devices companies have resorted to marketing their products ‘online’ and using the delivery service, provided that the payment is done on advance and paid through K-Net which is one of the requirements of some companies while others demand payment on receipt of the order.

Some of the complaints of consumers who deal with such companies is unjustified delay in the delivery of orders, which sometimes takes days, in addition to the failure of these companies to return calls of consumers citing technical problems which they claim they face with banks, which makes the consumer unable to get money back.
