KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: It appears some Members of Parliament are looking forward to create some kind of chaotic situation in the country by digging into oil files which threatens to sour relations between the executive and the legislature, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable sources.
The same sources said, the MPs have also launched scathing attacks of senior officials of the oil sector and two of them are said to have crossed the limits over the past few days which has nothing to with reforms but it is obvious personal differences are the causes.
The sources say these differences can be due to failure of the oil officials to appoint their relatives in the oil sector, which has recently decided to stick to the rules of appointment laid down by the higher authorities.
According to the sources the two MPs got in touch with senior officials on the appointments and allegedly refused to bow down to pressures and refused to violate the laws following which one of them contacted the Minister of Oil to exert maximum pressure.
The warned of the possibility of straining the relationship between the minister and some senior officials in the oil sector on the background of such issues, adding the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries abide by the rules and do not pay attention to parliamentary or political pressures.
