Applicants must be Kuwaiti citizens, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting required for financial controller roles and a bachelor’s degree in law required for administrative controller roles. Applications missing any required information will not be accepted online. After the 10-day application period, a date will be scheduled for a test at one of the universities, followed by a mandatory training course for the applicants. Those who successfully complete the training will move on to a personal interview, after which the necessary procedures will be finalized with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for employment in the Cooperative Control Department, in accordance with CSC’s terms and conditions.
Regarding the detailed requirements, he explained that applicants for specialized, technically graded Cooperative Control positions at the Ministry of Social Affairs must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall grade of “Very Good” or its equivalent under the points system. The degree must be from Kuwait University or another university accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, and in one of the specializations listed in Civil Service Council Resolution No. 34/2016 concerning bachelor’s positions and the benefits of Kuwaiti employees in specialized, technically graded Cooperative Control roles, as amended by the resolution.
The requirements also stipulate that applicants must not be current or former members of a cooperative society’s board of directors who were dismissed, and must not be older than 40 years of age by the application deadline. Applicants are also required to successfully pass the written exam and personal interview, in accordance with the procedures set by the ministry. All applications must be submitted using the standardized form available through the designated link on the Ministry of Social Affairs’ official website.
The application must include the following documents:
- academic qualifications (transcript and, for non-Kuwait University graduates, an equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education),
- a copy of a valid civil ID
- a curriculum vitae,
- a personal photograph,
- a phone number and email address,
- a certificate of previous experience (if applicable, a career progression certificate)
- a criminal record certificate issued by the Ministry of Interior.
Also, a letter from the current employer approving the secondment or transfer must be submitted upon acceptance of the position. Dr. Issa said any application submitted after the deadline or missing any required documents or conditions will be rejected
