KUWAIT CITY, July 1: Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Hawila has ordered the referral of several employees at the Al-Riqqa social unit for investigation after they were found not adhering to official working hours during a surprise inspection visit.
The ministry said the visit was part of ongoing field inspections aimed at monitoring work performance, improving service quality and identifying operational challenges at social service facilities.
During her tour of the social unit, which operates under the Family Care Department, Al-Hawila reviewed the workflow, the services provided to visitors and listened to feedback from employees and service users regarding development needs.
The minister found that some employees were absent from their workplaces and that others had failed to comply with official attendance requirements. She immediately directed that those responsible be referred for investigation and that necessary legal and administrative measures be taken.
Al-Hawila stressed that commitment to working hours and professional discipline are essential to improving services provided to citizens.
She also instructed officials to address shortcomings, enhance work procedures and improve the efficiency of social units to ensure faster completion of transactions and better services.
The minister confirmed that surprise field visits to various ministry sectors will continue to monitor performance, identify challenges and implement corrective measures to improve institutional efficiency.
