In Mutlaa, Kuwait, residents have been bracing for unusually cold conditions this winter. Kuwait is currently under the influence of a cold air mass and high-pressure system bringing very cold nights, chances of frost and near-freezing temperatures in desert and agricultural areas. These cold snaps have led to temperatures dropping sharply overnight, creating conditions where, in some exposed places like open water containers, moisture can actually freeze into ice as the chill intensifies.
