LOS ANGELES, Oct 15, (Agencies): Saturday Night Live made its triumphant return with the first episode since the nation became captivated by the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance, and both stars made surprise appearances that left fans in awe.

In the opening sketch, the show didn't miss the opportunity to playfully mock the NFL's obsessive coverage of Taylor Swift's recent presence at Kansas City Chiefs games. In a hilarious parody of Fox NFL Sunday, host Curt Menefee, portrayed by Kenan Thompson, led a discussion about the New York Jets' game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the pre-game show hilariously centered entirely around the "Anti-Hero" songstress.

As Menefee quipped, "All right, it's week seven, and if there are any Taylor Swift fans watching, the Chiefs game was on Thursday. You just missed her." The hosts, while professing their desire to focus solely on football, inevitably found themselves derailed when they referred to Kelce as Swift's "boyfriend."

In response, Howie Long, played by Mikey Day, intervened with a protest, saying, "Boyfriend? Hold on there. No one said, boyfriend. Let's not jump to conclusions."

Menefee, trying to regain control, exclaimed, "Knock it off! People tuned in for football, okay?" He attempted to redirect the conversation, adding, "Let's take a break. When we come back, we will dive into this heated East Coast rivalry. These two teams, they've got a lot of bad blood."

During the break, the cameras cut to the sidelines where Kelce, microphone in hand, made a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo, enthusiastically exclaiming, "Yes, please!"

Later in the evening, as the musical guest Ice Spice prepared to take the stage for her second performance of the night, fans were taken by surprise when Taylor Swift herself appeared to introduce the rapper.
