Smuggling attempt of 600 kgs of hashish and 130 kgs of meth foiled

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The General Directorate of Coast Guard managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle nearly 600 kilograms of hashish after detecting a boat through the radar system coming into Kuwait’s territorial waters heading to Kubbar Island.

In cooperation with the Kuwaiti Air Force, the Fire Department and the Maritime Rescue Department, they provided support and assistance in recovering the smuggled drugs.

Meanwhile three Iranian drug smugglers were arrested along with 130 kgs of meth (shabu) in the northern region near Boubyan Island, their boat was detected on radar entering Kuwait’s territorial waters.
