Smart Civil IDs purchase

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has requested to purchase the smart civil ID forms and card wrapping supplies sufficient for 3 years, at a value of 16.7 million dinars, reports Al-Anba daily. The sources stated 7.5 million cards will be supplied over the 3-year contract, at the rate of 2.5 million cards annually. The contract also includes the supply of an electronic chip for the cards. PACI sources said, the authority has requested many specifications in the supply process, including the high security specifications that make the card secure against tampering, forgery, or impersonation.
