KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Kazma Club has welcomed French coach Slavisa Ristavich as the new head coach of its handball team, a move that  Director Salem Abdulsalam describes as a major boost for the “Orange” as they aim to compete in the remainder of the season.

Abdulsalam thanked Kazma’s management and Handball Board President Omar Al-Mulla for their support and for removing obstacles to ensure the team can perform at its best in upcoming competitions.

He said: “Signing Slavisa marks a new phase for the team. We aim to develop our performance and remain competitive, especially after the recent suspension of sports activities due to regional events.”

Ristavich replaces Serbian coach Bozo Rudic, who stepped down, and brings extensive experience from European and Arab leagues. He has won multiple championships and holds the highest coaching certification from the French Handball Federation.

The French coach has previously managed Club Africain and CS Hammamet in Tunisia, as well as Qatar SC and Al-Wakrah SC in Qatar.

Currently, Kazma sits third in the Premier League standings with 14 points, trailing Kuwait SC and Burgan. With Ristavich at the helm, the club is determined to stay in the title race and challenge for top honors this season.
