LONDON, Jan 20, (Agencies): Prince Harry, 39, graced the 21st Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday night, where he was honored for his significant contributions to aviation. Despite his presence, Meghan Markle did not accompany him to the event.

The Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating children’s interest in aviation through education, revealed last week that Prince Harry was among the four individuals selected for induction into the prestigious Living Legends of Aviation. Hosted by John Travolta, the “Official Ambassador of Aviation,” the awards recognize those who have made noteworthy strides in the field of aviation and aerospace.

The Living Legends of Aviation Awards also acknowledged other accomplished individuals this year. Navy pilot Fred George, Marc Parent, the President and CEO of CAE (formerly Canadian Aviation Electronics), and Steve Hinton, an American aviator with a decade-long world speed record from 1979 to 1989, joined Prince Harry as inductees. The event will additionally honor Lauren Sánchez with the “Elling Halvorson Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award,” and notable attendees include William Shatner, Kurt Russell, and Kenny G.

Prince Harry, having served as a helicopter pilot during his ten-year tenure in the British Army, undertook training missions in the US, UK, and Australia, as well as combat missions in Afghanistan. His recognition at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards stands as a testament to his dedication and achievements in the aviation realm.
