SEOUL, Jan 26, (Xinhua): South Korean former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's legal team filed an appeal on Monday against the first-instance verdict on his aiding insurrection charges, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Han was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Wednesday for aiding and abetting the insurrection of the impeached former President Yoon Suk-yeol. Meanwhile, the special counsel overseeing the insurrection case also filed an appeal, contesting parts of the first-instance ruling that acquitted Han of certain charges.
