TEHRAN, Sep 2: Six members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Basij force were killed in separate US strikes, Iranian officials said on Wednesday.

Three members of Iran’s Basij force were killed and several others wounded in a US attack on Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf overnight, according to Abdolkarim Pouladifar, deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards’ Seyed al-Shohada unit in Deyr County.

Pouladifar identified those killed as Mehdi Bahrani, Hossein Salehnejad and Hassan Momeni. He said details of funeral arrangements would be announced later.

In a separate incident, four members of the Revolutionary Guards’ aerospace force were killed in a US strike in Kermanshah province, the Guards’ provincial public relations office said.

The statement identified the four as Reza Mohammadi, Shahram Jafari, Alireza Shakiba and Jafar Kahrizi.
