Six Asians Arrested Over Videos Glorifying Hostile Acts Against Bahrain

MANAMA, Mar 9: The Bahrain Ministry of Interior announced that the Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested six individuals of Asian nationalities for posting and sharing videos related to the aftermath of the recent Iranian attack. According to the ministry, the suspects filmed, posted, or reposted video clips expressing sympathy for the aggression and glorifying hostile acts, actions that were considered harmful to public security and order.

The videos, circulated through social media platforms, were said to have contributed to misleading public opinion and causing fear among citizens and residents. The ministry confirmed that legal measures have been taken, and the individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution. The Ministry of Interior urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to refrain from circulating or reposting unreliable videos or news to protect the country’s security and avoid legal consequences.
