ISTANBUL, Aug 28: Bahraini side Sitra secured a 2-1 victory over Kazma in a friendly match as part of their training camp in Turkey. Shabeeb Al-Khaldi scored Kazma’s only goal.

Earlier in its preparations, Kazma defeated Bahraini league champions Al-Muharraq 1-0 with a goal from Beninese forward Samuela Akinola, lost 3-1 to Al-Khaldiya, and drew 0-0 against Saudi club Damac.

The Kazma squad is set to return from Turkey today and will resume local training ahead of their first-round match against Al-Salmiya in the Zain Premier League on September 14.

Meanwhile, Al-Arabi and Kuwait Club are wrapping up their training camps in the UAE and Turkey, respectively. The delegations of Qadsia and Al-Salmiya will return from Turkey tomorrow, while Al-Fahaheel concludes its Egypt camp by mid-next week. Al-Shabab and Al-Nassr are scheduled to return next week, as all teams prepare for the start of the new league season.
