She was found unresponsive at her home in Herne Hill, London, with police ruling out any suspicion of foul play. The coroner ceased involvement after determining the cause of death.

O'Connor's family, expressing devastation, requested privacy. The iconic artist's death followed her recent relocation to a new London home, where she had discussed plans for new music and a 2024 tour. Sadly, her passing occurred 18 months after the tragic suicide of her 17-year-old son, Shane, in January 2022.
