KUWAIT CITY, April 20: The Kuwait Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Department carried out an inspection campaign in the Capital Governorate, focusing on wholesale outlets in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, resulting in multiple violations and enforcement actions.
During the field inspection, officials issued 10 seizure reports against commercial establishments found in breach of regulations. The violations included operating retail trade activities without prior approval from the Ministry, failure to provide invoices, commercial fraud related to product weight discrepancies, and non-compliance with pricing regulations.
Authorities said the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen market oversight, ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, and curb unfair trade practices that may affect consumers and market integrity.
The department reaffirmed that inspection tours will continue across commercial areas in Kuwait, with strict action taken against violators in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
