Shunned Kuwaiti lover gets 3 yrs in jail

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: The Court of Cassation sentenced a young Kuwaiti man to three-year imprisonment with hard labor for circulating a picture of his ex-girlfriend on social media as a way of taking revenge after they broke up, and for hacking her Instagram account.

The Public Prosecution had charged him with misuse of smartphone, as he used it to sending the picture of the woman to other people via Instagram, WhatsApp and SnapChat without her consent. They used to share usage of their social media accounts prior to their breakup, but she was shocked when he posted her picture without her consent after the split
