Shrimp, Zubaidi fishing still on hold

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: The Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) has responded to part of the request of the Commerce Ministry to allow the fishing of some local fish this month, instead of July.

Director General of the authority Sheikh Muhammad Al-Youssef told the daily that they decided to start the fishing season for mullet on June 15.

Asked about the request of the ministry to allow the fishing of shrimp and zubaidi also this month instead of next month, Al- Youssef disclosed “this is still under discussion and we will soon find the appropriate time for taking such step.”
