Shredded Holy Quran – Cooperative in Kuwait stops supplying Iranian apples

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: Sabah Al-Ahmad City Cooperative Society has announced that it has stopped supplying Iranian apples to the supermarkets and its branches after finding shredded pages of the Holy Quran stuffed inside the cartons until further notice. 

Al-Raqqa, Al-Manqaf and Sabahiya associations also made a similar decision to stop the supply of Iranian apples on the back of finding pages of the Quran in apple cartons.

He pointed out the consumer protection and commercial control sector at the Ministry of Commerce to carry out inspection rounds of emergency teams, where a number of fruit cartons filled with papers from the Koran were found, and seizures were referred to the commercial prosecution.
